alright, so i did manage to finish my projects today. and before the lead gives me a new project to start on, i speed painted this. testing out more graphic feel vs texture. hoping it pushed the background back more.

so i went to the company dinner this weekend, and it was fun and all. i dunno, inspired me to paint something... more painterly, more saturated than ever. i hope people like this new style.

this week i had too much crap to deal with. one with the apt situation, 2nd with my friends leaving and 3rd with everything going chaotic in the office. but i like to point out that i got my crap done. finished both my projects, and finished this painting. after finishing it it made me realized that i need to draw more vehicles, cuz my viscom skill sux. anyway this was inspired by the sun god so enjoy..

been playing Diablo 2 with Irv and Thomas every night after work. i think that has influenced me in doing a painting.


2 hour-ish, yes lunch break + break time to finish this. a great offset from what i do at work.

i actually manage to start a new project by researching and paint on my breaks, and still finish another painting.
all together its like 4 hours of work, but 1 hour of it is actual painting time. anyway enjoy more..


i dont use ref on any of my paintings. good way to train your brain as a ref machine.

i got really pissed at my self for not posting for 2 weeks so i decided to at least put up some quick painting. this one's 1 hour (lunch break) so um enjoy?
i dont know what i was thinking but i feel angry for some reason.

total fail

ok guys, total fail in posting this week, mainly my fault (it is my blog...) i havent really been painting any personal paintings lately, only company projects. everyday i get home i dont feel like sitting infront of the computer and paint.

anyway i'll try to paint this weekend, and hopefully get some cool stuff up by Monday.

p.s. Arthur, i actually work for Pandemic studios, but i am employed by EA. i dont really know what that means yet.

being at work actually limits my drawing time, creative ability, and rights to my intellectualt property. this really sux. so i think i'm going to only draw in the weekends so i dont get sued by EA. this will not change my update time (monday) but it will however make me spend less time painting presentable work. but hopefully you guys keep reading.

Back to L.A.

I am actually leaving in 30 mins, but i want to update what i did this week.
this week is a multi themed week, since i'm leaving to LA my friends and i hang out a lot, leaving me with little or no drawing time. but i still managed to squeezed some in.
this week: continue of the little japanese boy (i'll think of a better title)
anyway, 2 hours each, testing out a new hard edge brush. enjoy.

i actually have not figure out why the colors come out so boring, or the dark isnt as dark. so apologize for the lack of knowledge on the web image convergence.

also, i'm working on a new project, its a concept work so hopefully it will be awesome. (thanx mike, now i have more things to draw!)

slow weekend?

continuing my break, this weekend has been slow in terms of painting. i went to visit EA, i have a friend there who's working and she gave me a good tour. been playing some mmorpg, which is probably a bad thing since internship is starting in a week. not much is done, just have some rough paintings, nothing to show right now. but i did update on Friday so hopefully that will be enough. I'll update again before i drive down to LA again. no real way to check who's been reading my blog except the people who posted comments. thanx guys.
